When you open “my computer” on
your computer you can see some drives each these drives stores your data eg:
Local Disk C, Local Disk E, Local Disk F, Local Disk G etc. Hiding a drive on a
computer is very easy. It can use for fun and to improve your security.
If you
are sharing your computer with others you must keep your data secure, because
some times your partner may accidentally delete your data. So you can use this
method to protect your personal data. If your are sharing your computer with
kids for playing games or anything, Some times they will delete your personal
data or deleting programs files of your OS etc.. Normally we are installing OS
in Local Disk C. to protect your Operating system you have to hide C drive.
Here in this tutorial i will help you to hide any drive.
How to hide your drive
Step 1 : Click Start then select
Run (search run)
Step 2 : Type gpedit.msc on the
box and press ok (a new window will open)
Step 3 : Select user
configuration-> Administrative templates -> All settings
Step 4 : Select Hide specific
drive on your computer
Step 5 : mark enable then choose
your drive that you want to hide
Step 6 : Select apply
